There are sixteen sections
in the GEiEG represented by the Sporting Commission, comprising the
presidents of all these sections. This commission is presided over
by a member of the central body of the association. The GEiEG takes
into account that winning titles and trophies is important to motivate
sportsmen and women, and that this enhances the prestige of the association.
However, the association tries to go beyond competition, as the basic
task of the GEiEG has always been to offer an integral education to
its youngest members, so as to instil a whole series of positive values
in an environment in which camaraderie prevails. Through quality technical
direction, institutional and private support, and its three centres,
the GEiEG promotes the sporting and cultural life of the city. |
